Jeff Citrin

Jeffrey Citrin is CEO and managing principal of Square Mile Capital Management LLC, which he founded in 2006. Square Mile is a diversified real estate investment firm based in Greenwich, Connecticut which focuses on sourcing and managing real estate and related equity, debt and hybrid investments throughout North America on behalf of select institutional and private investors. Prior to founding Square Mile, Mr. Citrin served as president of Blackacre Capital Management LLC, which he co-founded in 1994. Blackacre is the dedicated real estate arm of global investment firm Cerberus Capital Management. During his tenure, Blackacre invested more than $4 billion and consummated more than 250 distinct transactions.
Prior to co-founding Blackacre, he was a managing director at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. (now CIBC Markets) where he served as head of Oppenheimer’s Commercial Mortgage Investment Unit. From 1991 - 1993, he served as a vice president at First Boston (now Credit Suisse) where he was a founding member of the firm’s Real Estate Principal Group. From 1986 to 1991, he was a vice president in the Real Estate Investment Banking Unit of Chemical Bank (now JP Morgan Chase). From 1983 - 1986, he was associated with the New York law firms of Proskauer Rose LLP and Kelley Drye & Warren as an attorney in each firm’s respective real estate departments.
Mr. Citrin graduated from Dartmouth College in 1980 and received a Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law in 1983. He currently resides in Connecticut with his wife Rona, and his children Alexandra, Andrew and Charles.
